I own Melee. I've played Project M and 4XM. I've heavily modded my copies of Brawl and Smash 4 over the years.
But I can't honestly understand why we need yet *another* Melee mod like #ProjectUltimate. It's been 1 month since release day, can we not go one month without Melee?

Tbh #ProjectNX/#ProjectUltimate looks really, really appealing to me and i believe it should take off as another huge mod for a smash bros games like project m did for brawl and the 20XX mod for melee. The project shouldn't be stopped, it should continue on as something new.
Project M was meant to make a non competitive Smash title competitive. People were reluctant to go back to Melee and PM helped keep Smash alive.
#ProjectUltimate seems pointless to me. Especially when Nintendo is actually supporting the competitive scene.

Everyone that's so butthurt over #ProjectUltimate needs to stop acting like such a whiny baby and get over it. Its a mod and if you dont like it then dont play it lmao. It's just someone who wants to mod a game and other people who like said mod.

The development of a mod doesn't renove the original game. you could totally still play the vanilla one, bring a setup, etc.
Worst case scenario, no tournaments run Ultimate and it's played casually. But that didn't happen with PM. 1/x #ProjectUltimate

How would people feel about a mod of SSBU that....
-Removed 2-3 frames of input delay
-Allowed you to adjust your input buffering
I.E. the game is identical but it addresses lag/input issues
Kinda like UCF for SSBU

I dont really get the whole "just play melee" mentality. Melee is old af. No one wants to play on dying hardware, aging graphics and limited characters. Not saying #ProjectUltimate is a good thing, just saying why it makes sense why people want another one
#ProjectUltimate feels more like Ultimate Minus right now because aerial landing lag on moves is completely gone so you can spam hella laggy moves very fast. It's dope lol
