Quite correct. The fear of the LORD (including submission to the authority of His word and a love of its truth) is the beginning of knowledge.
A lack of this fear is the fatal flaw of #provisionism and all other humanistic anti-Calvinist systems and is the very basis of their foolishness. #Soteriology101
Most Arminians are not good students of Scripture. They don’t handle it with seriousness or apply any effort. They rip verses out of context and misapply them.
Two examples:
They treat “Behold, I stand at the door and knock...” as an evangelistic appeal to unregenerate men. Reading the context (the opening verse), however, clearly shows those words were addressed to a church and regard fellowship and intimacy with the Lord, not salvation.
Another example is from Peter’s letters. They love to quote where Peter says that God does not want any of us to perish. The “us” is crystal clear in the opening of the letters: “Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who are elect...” (1 Peter 1:1 ESV)
If you want to see where #Provisionism completely destroys moral accountability, look at what happens when they claim the distinction between creaturely faculties and moral willingness is a "distinction without a difference".
In the faculty category, a genuine inability legitimately removes responsibility... a person born without physical legs is an innocent victim who cannot be justly blamed or punished for failing to walk.
🤔 If Provisionism is true that moral inability must be treated no differently than a faculty inability, then any inability immediately becomes a category that removes responsibility.
Under their own conflated rule, treating the heart's hostility like a physical defect actually means that the more a sinner is unable to obey God, the... less... responsible they become.
This completely blows up their own argument regarding sinless perfection.
Provisionists argue that people are born innocent and that sinless perfection is "logically possible, but not feasible" due to a corrupt world and intense temptations.
But why is it not feasible?
Because they admit that a fallen creature cannot ultimately achieve sinless perfection!
If their non-feasibility constitutes a real inability to achieve sinless perfection, and their own system demands that... all inability... is to be treated equivalent to faculty inability that removes responsibility, then the creature is not responsible when they fail to achieve sinless perfection.
By collapsing the moral category into the faculty category, Provisionism turns every failure to obey God into an excused design limitation rather than blameworthy, active rebellion from the heart.

What @Soteriology101’s post hides from you is that his logic only works by erasing 90% of basic biblical theology... but his negation of that 90% also makes the concept of hell "make absolutely no
rational sense".
#Provisionism reduces reality down to a human level where the invitation isn't going out to guilty rebels, but to morally neutral men, women, boys, and girls who have no active sin debt.
🔑 Remember on Provisionism Jesus has already took away the sins of every man, women, boy, and girl without destinction before the wedding.
By removing original sin, total depravity, and real rebellion against a holy God, he completely changes the problem.
The guest who shows up without the proper wedding garment hasn't committed a crime or shown deep hatred for the King; on Leighton's view they just made a simple "choice" mistake.
They had a rough week, grabbed the wrong outfit, and experienced a passive, human simple "mess-up."
By stripping the story of divine justice and actual guilt while trying to keep the literal reality of hell, Leighton's view makes the final punishment "make no rational sense".
Think about it... in a normal neighborhood, if someone "messes up" the dress code, a nice host lets them borrow a proper garment from their own closet... or even a strict host just sends them home.
But because Leighton negates the holy legal grounds for punishment, and makes the only problem a "choice" mistake, his Host turns hostile... purely over a simple wrong choice.
Instead of showing neighborly grace or sending the guest away, Leighton negation presents a host that reacts to an innocent wardrobe mistake by aggressively tackling the guest and throwing them into a basement to be tortured forever.
By throwing out core theology to protect human free will, Leighton secretly turns hell into an extreme, evil overreaction to a simple mistake.
Provisionism is why Atheists see hell as God's extream overreacting foolishness.
No one is in hell for Provisionism's wrong choice oversimplification.
Does God genuinely desire the salvation of every person?
Ezekiel 33:11: God swears on his own life -chai-ani -that he has no pleasure in the death of the wicked.
That's not a policy statement. That's an oath.

Leighton Flowers is at best (worse?) TEMU Zane Hodges and Provisionism is the instrument he uses to serve up his merited grace 'gospel.'
The 'gospel' he preaches is bankrupt of both true Biblical grace, and true salvation.

One is Biblically Consistent...
and the other is #Provisionism.
When #Provisionism can't answer "Yes" to the question "Is sin part of God's creation or not?" the only consistent logical next step for them is to move to full-blown Deism where God's part is only the first 6 days...
... but that means Jesus and him crucified is also not part of God's creation.
Don't shoot yourself in the foot by denying God is the only Creator of his Storyline.
I am not hiding behind definitions. I am just insisting on facts.
You seem to be confusing God sustaining things with Gods creation. Gods creation was a one time thing. He created and then rested afterwards. When He created , He saw it and said it was good.
So how can sinful actions later on be a creation of God? Creatures with Freewill is a creation of God.

On #Provisionism, God creates the world at the foundation, sets up the system, then effectively hands it over. From there, creature power runs the show. That framework is strikingly similar to evolution. You cannot really explain the true beginning, but once the “big bang” moment is past, everything is treated as “man made” from then on.
So on Provisionism, after Adam you are not directly “God made.” You are the downstream product of a self running system. That is functionally Semi Deism.
#Calvinism is clear and consistent. You were personally created by God, just not by the same storyline level miracle as Adam and Eve. Adam from dust. Eve from his side. You through God’s normal storyline level means, your parents coming together at a specific, planned moment. Same Author level Creator. Different storyline level method.
So the Provisionist has to pick one:
Say you were not truly created by God, only by the system and creature power alone.
Or admit that God is the One who actually brings you into existence through real, planned, moment by moment storyline level causes.
If they pick option 2, they have quietly stepped into the Calvinistic category. God does not stop creating at Genesis 1. He is the living Author who works all things, including the exact moment you came into existence.
God loves you. Our sin separates us from Him. Jesus died and rose to save us. Turn from sin, trust in Jesus, and God will forgive you and give you new life.

CJ, short answer: functionally, yes, #Provisionism turns salvation into a reward for a good choice instead of a true gift of sheer grace.
Here is why. In Provisionism:
Jesus died for the sins of every individual without distinction.
Every person receives the same “well meant offer” and the same "sufficient" external only grace.
The only thing that separates the saved from the lost is how they respond.
So what actually explains the difference between you and your unbelieving neighbor?
Not the cross, since Christ died for both.
Not grace, since God (on their view) gave the same external provision to both.
The only remaining differentiator is that you made the right free-will choice and they did not. That means, in practice, salvation is tied to your better use of your will, your better response, your wiser decision.
That is the very definition of a reward: God treats you differently because you did something the other person did not do. Even if they say “I do not deserve it,” their system still locates the decisive line inside the human, not in Christ.
In the Consistent View, salvation is not a prize for correctly responding to a universal offer. The cross does not merely make people savable, it actually saves a people. Christ truly bears the specific guilt of his sheep, the Spirit actually gives them a new heart, and even faith and repentance are gifts, not contributions.
So if we strip the slogans and look at the logic:
Provisionism - salvation hinges on your right choice, so it operates like a reward.
Consistent Calvinism - salvation hinges on Christ’s work applied to the undeserving, so it remains a gift from start to finish.
Calvinist: “This is God’s creation, from before the foundation to the end.”
Provisionist: “No, God’s creation stops at the foundation. From there to the end is Will’s creation.”
