Clearly more digestion was needed with Wed's action, but we remain focused on the broader market despite the tech/semis weakness showed by a still solid trend above all kma's on SPX/RSP. Breadth is still expending with MCSI firmly up and price above all trending kma's.
We were expecting that digestion, it's all good and normal so far.

The market looks promising going into the FOMC. Late last week, a pullback price structure breakout triggered the ST buy opportunity signal, which was confirmed by breadth and momentum.
We saw the 5/10-day ratio and the ST breadth extension become oversold, leading to an ST buy signal that I used to get aggressive with new exposure.
MCSI also hooked back up last Thursday, adding confirmation to the buying opportunity.
It was a nice five-day run from the breadth low. Now that the stocks > 5dma are above 80%, the market is running hot, and it's no longer a place to take up new exposure. Patience is needed.
PORTFOLIO UPDATE 09/12
$TTD $SMTC $LTH $NU $ZETA $CPNG $SE
Now fully exposed, with the addition of TTD today from the 21D #ptmm scan.
NOR remains at -1.51%ec, but cushion continues to grow with now a positive NOD at +1.77%.
My goal is to keep that exposure and start trimming when #ptmm indicators indicate an ST overbought market, so stay tuned.

Where the market might go from here? I went back last week to see how the market picture looked after the November correction using #ptmm, as it could be used as a pretty good historical recent precedent.
I think this is pretty similar, which is why I am optimistic about the current environnement. It's pretty standard to see that quick spike into ST overbought as the market tries to shoot out of correction on the last leg down. Then, just like in November, we see that sideway price action around the 50dma and the breadth coming off OB and down into the 50-60% area. It was creating room to the upside for the next leg higher, just like we see right now.
The similarities are impressive.
After that breakout, the market went on a 33 trading days opportunity window before breaking down on Dec. 29th that led to a short-term pullback/sideway action.
