Last week we arrived five minutes late to my 11-year-old son’s Under Armour game. It was a #ParentFail to the max in my opinion. I was a little shook about showing up late if I am being honest. He didn’t let it phase him at all. He hustled straight to the bench, locked in to support his teammates. When the coaches called his name about a minute later, he stepped onto the court completely present. Hit a 3 pointer with a couple of gritty layups in about 2 minutes. But this wasn't about the outcomes...it was about his presence. In that moment something shifted in me. I wasn’t thinking about the score, the next play, or anything outside the gym. I was simply there, in the moment, fully present— watching my son be exactly who he is: smart, kind, driven, a great teammate, and fully alive in the moment. A wave of gratitude and pure joy washed over me. It felt spiritual, like the Good Lord handed me a brief, perfect window into something bigger than the game. As someone who coaches athletes and leaders on mental performance and presence, I spend my days teaching others how to access that state. My son taught the lesson to me in less than 2 minutes. He didn’t have to do anything special. He just showed up completely. And because he did, I could too. If you’re a parent, maybe this lands for you the way it did for me: the deepest moments with our kids aren’t planned. They arrive when we let ourselves meet them in the present. I’m carrying that feeling with me this week. What’s one moment lately where your child’s presence pulled you fully into the now? I’d love to hear it below. #MentalPerformance #Presence #Gratitude #YouthSports #Parenting

@___RME____ @Raindropsmedia1 She not only missed prom, her face is now plastered all over social media. That's too revealing for a young girl at a high school event. It also may bring some unwanted attention that she may not be ready for. #ParentFail

I have just been chided by my 12yo son for not playing music in a different language when he was a baby, so he could learn it easier. 😂 #parentfail

My 10 year-old daughter asked: "Dad, are we going to get shot if we go to the march?" THIS is exactly what Donald Trump wants our innocent kids to fear. We refuse to be scared. WE WILL SEE YOU THERE!!!!! #NoKingsDayOct18th
