Top Tweets for #PassScore
Playing as a right-sided centre-back prior to Rodon's move to #Spurs, we saw Cabango topping the #PassScore charts in games for his progressive passing but along with Guehi, he's at the bottom here vs #HTFC as we struggled to progress out from deep
For an upcoming blog.....
Lots of explaining to do on this one but using @SwansAnalytics @insightMrkt PassScore model teamed with Expected Passes (xP) we can determine who is attempting the most difficult passes & has best ball progression to dangerous areas. CMs only.

@insightMrkt John Fleck
Our PassScore model identifies where on the pitch players are most threatening.
@trentaa98 of #LFC unsurprisingly plays high scoring passes from deep, wide areas.
Can you use data to find the next TAA? We think it helps

Using the @insightMrkt #PassScore model to understand where on the pitch players are most threatening from...
Using Kevin De Bruyne as an example, it's not too surprising to see him offering most threat from open play passes from that deep inside right channel position

Using the @insightMrkt passing model #passscore developed by @SwansAnalytics we can see just how much value Fleck adds with his passing. Consistently attempting passes of low expected completion but with a high element of creating danger/creativity only KDB on our passing model..

Missing the game today but it's one of our toughest games of the season against a #WBA team who I expect should finish in the top 2. Excellent creativity throughout their team and they're the most efficient with the ball according to #PassScore (more passes into good areas)
Fulham also have plenty of creativity in their team, they average easier passes (why they're all near the bottom of the scatter) but have plenty to the right of the average line for #PassScore per 100 passes average
Cavaleiro in particular #FulhamFC @FulhamFC

A quick update on #PassScore model in the Championship. #WBA @TotallyWBA still way out in front for averaging more passes into good attacking areas. #FulhamFC #LUFC
Percentages shown = Pass accuracy % - so too is bubble size. Colour RAG = Key Passes per 90.

Just saw an example there for how a good press doesn't contribute to the PPDA metric. Good pressing has forced the Bristol City goalkeeper into passing out of play. #PassScore helps to add extra to PPDA to measure pressing
#PassScore model suggested after 6 rounds of Championship games that Leeds & Barnsley press most effectively/force more unsuccessful passes in opposition's half. Missed first 30mins but thought #BarnsleyFC looked a decent side, energetic and committed to pressing #LUFC high up.
@Blades_analytic @hullcitydata @MillwallAnalyt1 @BiscuitAnalytic @OwlsAboutStat @ploehmann Charlton #CAFC have had a great start but they're averaging a low #PassScore average per 100 passes. I assume they make the very most of the ball when they do play it into better goalscoring areas.
@Blades_analytic @hullcitydata @MillwallAnalyt1 @BiscuitAnalytic @OwlsAboutStat @ploehmann #FulhamFC average easier passes
#WBA and #QPR are way ahead for efficient, attacking passes according to the #PassScore model. In other words, for every 100 passes, they average more passes that contribute to goalscoring chances.
Using @SwansAnalytics #passscore model (which values each pass in terms of how dangerous the pass location ends up in terms of pitch position) Sawyers ranks as the best player in league with 1000 passes or more at playing passes into dangerous areas. Frankly he's a bargain! #wba
Championship 2018/19 Heatmaps of the Top 5 passers according to #PassScore v2
2 #SUFC 2 #LUFC players and #WBA bound @RomaineSawyers
Look at his coverage across that area just outside of the penalty area.
Hernandez a huge threat in right half space

Heatmaps in #Tableau
#Swans attacking players 18/19 - #PassScore - where passes were played from. Darker green = higher total PassScore.
This makes it much easier to choose players and filters compared to Excel.

Analysis:
Conor Hourihane has a great ability to dictate play in the middle, shown by his #PassScore performance and strong Ball Retention score by @smarterscout. Yet as smarterscout and their passing profiles tell us, both Nakamba and Luiz can retain posession even better.
