I'm not keen on everything that the Liberals have done or proposed to do ie no GST for two months and $250 cheques. However, Pierre has voted against almost every affordability bill across his political career. This includes working in the government, in opposition, and in leadership of the Conservatives. He also achieved next to nothing as the Housing Minister. Furthermore, Pierre got a lot of his guidance under Harper. Harper stopped all funding to investigate equality for women, he prevented women from disputing inequitable salaries in courts and forced them to report to their unions, he had no interest in funding affordable daycare, and only provided minimal funding during his last year to find missing and abused indigenous women. All this lack of funding for women, led to an extremely high percentage of women who ended up opting out working out of the home to care for their kids, because daycare was highly unaffordable.
