I sat with a 91-year-old 3 weeks ago who told me about the #PollTaxes in Mississippi. He explained that he & his wife had to pay $2 each.
I can’t remember his exact salary but it was not much. He was fortunate and could pay the tax. Many around him could not. 😔😔😔
