What is the most defining X-Factor of the 2024 general elections?
The Congress vs BJP head to head contests in 202 LS seats ( including Maharashtra).
In 2019 ( and almost same in 2014), the Congress won just 16 ( a hit rate of 8%).
The INDIA alliance has NO CHANCE OF WINNING 2024, unless:
Congress wins 50 ( BJP comes below half-way mark of 272 ). But NDA will still form government.
Congress wins 75 ( BJP slips to 220-225). The INDIA alliance has a clear chance.
Congress wins 100 ; INDIA alliance forms the government.
If I was Congress President this is what I would do:
Focus on these seats, especially those that give one a high probability of winning, so perhaps a 125-150 seats out of 202.
Tell all top leaders to contest.
Campaign time, money and resources dedicated to these 150-202 seats.
A third defeat by the same numbers or similar could lead to a serious crack of the INC.
The time to fight is now.
Congress wins 100 : INDIA alliance certain to form government.
Assumption: All other results are constant as before.
