Day 15 - #Amāvasyā, which is celebrated as MahaŚivaratri in rest of Bharat, is Doonyamaavas (doon; meaning walnut). On this day, the soaked walnuts are taken out of the pots. #Pooza is offered and #naivedyam of walnuts and #Tomle-Tchot (rice cakes) is distributed. This day marks the end of annual three day visit of Śiva-Pārvatī as they leave for their permanent home in Kailasa Parvata, only to return next year. #MahaShivaratriCountdown #Herath @YogaJayaraman @IndicaOrg
