What should you do if a powerline lands on your vehicle?
May 12 to 18 is #PowerlineSafetyWeek! Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing tips to help keep you and your loved ones safe around powerlines. If you come across a downed powerline, remember to:
1. Stay back at least 10 metres (about the length of a school bus).
2. Treat all downed powerlines as live and potentially dangerous.
3. Report to us at 416-542-8000 (press 1) or call 911.
4. Most importantly, never try to touch or move a powerline!
