UPDATE: Hannah has been home since late Friday night. She’s on constant oxygen, but she’s resting, and Speech Therapy has already been by the last two days. OT & PT are scheduled to start this Friday, and we have a handful of doctor’s appointments coming up as well. Please continue to lift her up in prayer as she recovers from this illness — we know those prayers are working. Thank you again to everyone who has called, texted, or reached out in any way. UPDATE: We’re waiting for the ENT team to check Hannah’s vocal cords. She had a good night, but her O2 level is still a bit high to move her just yet. Praying she can tolerate less oxygen today so she can get out of the ICU. She is also fever free for 24 hours! PTL Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. UPDATE: Hannah got more rest last night, but her BP was a bit higher than we’d like. She’s still fighting this fever, but the doctors believe they’ve identified the cause. The good news—her breathing has improved so much that they’re moving her to a smaller nasal cannula, and they’ve removed all but one IV. Next step: the step-down unit! Please continue to lift her up in prayer. We are so grateful for all your love, prayers, and support. ❤️ #PrayForHannah

UPDATE on Hannah Last night was another tough one—little to no sleep as she continues battling complications from GP and ARDS. She’s still on the Bipap this morning, but the plan is to try transitioning her to high-flow oxygen again and performing a swallow test. These are critical next steps. If she struggles with them, we may need to go back to the Bipap along with an NG tube for meds. The last resort would be a tracheotomy and a return to the ventilator. We need specific prayers: 🙏 That she can tolerate high-flow oxygen and get the support she needs. 🙏 That she passes the swallow test so she can get back on her regular meds for GP and anxiety. UPDATE: They just extubated Hannah! I may have done a little dance—she did so well with it and is now on the BiPAP. The plan is to keep her there for a few hours and, if all goes well, transition her to a nasal tube. Little miracles every day. She has truly been touched by God, and He is healing her day by day. 🙏 UPDATE on Hannah 🙏 Hannah is off the sedation meds and opened her eyes this morning! She’s aware and fighting, but she’s frustrated with the breathing tube. They attempted to let her breathe more on her own, but she’s still breathing too fast, which could wear her out. The NP gave her some meds to help calm her, and we will try again later this afternoon. Please keep praying for her strength, that she can regulate her breathing so we can remove the tube today or tomorrow, and for her continued healing. We feel every prayer and all the love—thank you! 💙 #PrayForHannah

UPDATE on Hannah: Hannah had a good night last night! They are continuing to wean her off some of the sedation, and they were able to drop her vent pressure from 10 to 8. Her oxygen is still at 45%, but the doctor is comfortable with where she’s at. We’re still waiting on results from blood work and a CT scan to help figure out why she’s spiking fevers. Hoping for some answers today. She is a fighter, and we are believing for complete healing! Thank you all for your prayers and continued support. UPDATE: Hannah spiked a fever again last night, and her blood pressure has been all over the place. The doctors are starting to wean her off some of the sedation meds, and she’ll be getting more blood work and a CT scan today. We are so grateful for all the prayers, calls, and messages—your support means the world to us. Please keep the prayers coming. #PrayForHannah

UPDATE: No change on the fever—it’s still low grade but lingering. The doctors believe it’s a combination of the flu and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Her O2 levels have remained the same as yesterday, but if things don’t improve, we may have to consider a temporary tracheotomy early next week. We are so grateful for your prayers and support. UPDATE: Praise the Lord—Hannah’s fever has broken! Her oxygen has been reduced to 35%, and today, her doctors will attempt to lower the ventilator pressure to see how she responds. They continue to monitor her cultures, but so far, no growth—another blessing! Thank you for your prayers and support over these past days. Please keep them coming.
