Shows are being cancelled in B and C centres due to poor turnout. It’s high time the film industry - producers, actors, directors, and distributors - comes together for a serious discussion on a revival strategy. We urgently need a steady flow of good films, whether content-driven or commercial, to prevent the shutdown of single screens. Top heroes and directors should focus on doing more films instead of chasing the ₹1000 crore mark with every release. Today, people have countless entertainment options, and theatrical releases have to compete with them and find ways to pull audiences back to cinemas. What’s your take on this?
