LATEST on former FORNEY ISD educators now facing 20 YEARS in federal prison.
Principal Wendy Bailey and teacher Michael Roell were indicted on 7 federal wire fraud charges for their “pass the trash” scheme that allowed Rouell—who has a known history of classroom physical and sexual misconduct in GARLAND ISD—to abuse more special needs students.
Both were previously arrested on state charges of child abuse, grooming, and failure to report.

NEWS RELEASE from @FBIDallas: Federal grand jury returns 7-count indictment against elementary school teacher and former principal for conspiracy scheme that endangered children
Michael Raymond Roell, also known as “Johnathan Michael,” and Wendy Bailey, former principal, have been indicted for orchestrating a scheme that concealed Roell’s prior history of alleged abuse and misconduct, and enabled him to obtain a position as a special‑education teacher. The indictment alleges that Roell, encouraged by Bailey, legally changed his name and then submitted an employment application that concealed his prior identity, criminal charges, and misconduct and disciplinary history. Prosecutors allege that Bailey used her position as principal to promote Roell’s candidacy, participate in hiring communications and help move his falsified application forward.
