The hairstyles, fashion, cars, buses, police vehicles, analog gear, cameras, interiors, electronic music, and TV shows — all the details of the era add a distinct flavor to the story. Rather than unfolding as classic sci-fi, the series plays out as a dark human drama, satirizing society and politics. Even the old-school sci-fi font used in the title feels nostalgic.
