On proposed private school voucher expansion: Research shows that by simply controlling for sociodemographic characteristics...all advantages of private school education were eliminated. There's no evidence to suggest that low-income children benefited more from private schools.
SB1452 is bad for public schools, riddled with loopholes, and against the voters' will. I voted no & remain in strong opposition to any voucher or ESA expansion. AZ voters told us in 2018 they don't want public dollars siphoned into private schools via 65% No Vote on #Prop305.

What a long day in Senate Finance. By partisan 6-4 votes, GOP senators just approved a bill that expands ESA access (depending on your definition of 'expand,' according to Republicans) and a separate measure to strip @Supt_Hoffman of ESA oversight.
