.@Bolick4Arizona has filed HB2191 which would prevent public schools from requiring children to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. HB2191 ensures that this controversial issue is rightfully left up to the parents, not government bureaucrats. 👍
Today, the Maricopa Superior Court made the right call. As our COVID numbers increase & impact student learning, Arizona schools must enact evidence-based mitigation strategies.
All schools should implement universal indoor masking to protect the health of students and staff.
When you're across the Pacific Ocean swimming in white affluency, you forget that redlined public schools were what divided black/white and affluent/poor kids.
Maybe Dawny didn't realize that her org @arizona_sos fought to keep AZ public schools redlined in 2021.
From the rep. that tried to ARGUE with a member of the public giving his testimony about the benefit having school choice meant to him and his family.
Disgraceful.
@MitziEpstein@Empowered_AF The decisions to not open in-person schools was not and is not about money! Many charter schools have been open since "day 1" last fall and they get LESS $ than district schools per pupil. QUIT making everything about funding!
@MitziEpstein We already know that it wasn't about money to reopen schools. Teachers unions nationally, and even *associations* locally are STILL against reopening and we've got a buffet of vaccine opts available to them and clear guidance from the CDC to be able to provide in person learning
@MitziEpstein Speaking over EVERYONE. And as a low-SES, black mother, whose child brought the school a bunch of funding due to her dx, let me be clear with you: the issue is not the money. I can do far MORE for her w/ESA than the school with LESS $ than the school got to do it. So, answer's No
@MitziEpstein@Empowered_AF Better funding in my child’s public school would have made ZERO difference. He doesn’t learn the way the district is set up to teach and they weren’t about to listen to me about his needs. Money wont fix that.
As the picture caption states, the person who said that vile, hateful, disgusting thing to me about my children (in front of witnesses!), was the mother of one of the co-founders of Save Our Schools, at one of their events, where Beth Lewis, the other founder was present also.
This is a pic from a FB post of mine last year. This experience; being told that because I had kids with special needs, I should not have had my youngest son; will always remind me that @arizona_sos and their supporters hate SPED kids.
I'll never stop fighting them.

Remember, we're always told that the existence of elected school board members makes public schools accountable to the public.
It's a hot lie.
