@PCF_Science 1⃣ An increasing number of men, often through cascade testing, are being diagnosed with pathogenic germline variants with an increased risk for prostate cancer. Coordination from providers across specialties will be key to helping them understand their risk. #ProstateJC

@PCF_Science Thanks for selecting this article! Recommendations from NCCN and Philly Consensus meeting suggest starting at age 40, potentially tighter (e.g. annual) screening intervals depending on PSA levels.

Patients had pathogenic germline variants in BRCA1, BRCA2, DNA mismatch repair genes (Lynch Syndrome), and CHECK2, among others. A total of 12/45 patients (26.7%) underwent biopsy. Of the 12, there were three with GG1 prostate cancer, one with GG2 prostate cancer.
