🔴 Miles de jugadores de PlayStation anunciaron que apagarán sus consolas durante siete días, del 23 al 30 de agosto, como parte de una protesta mundial denominada #PSBlackout. La iniciativa busca enviar un mensaje a Sony por su decisión de dejar atrás los videojuegos en formato físico y apostar completamente por el formato digital a partir de 2028.
🔴 Durante esa semana, los participantes evitarán conectarse a PlayStation Network (PSN), comprar juegos en la PlayStation Store o utilizar cualquier servicio de la plataforma. La protesta también responde al creciente descontento por políticas que, según los jugadores, limitan la verdadera propiedad de los videojuegos y ponen en riesgo su conservación cuando dejan de recibir soporte.
🔴 El movimiento ha ganado fuerza tras el anuncio de Sony de eliminar gradualmente los discos físicos en 2028. Aunque especialistas consideran poco probable que la compañía cambie su decisión por un boicot de una semana, la protesta busca demostrar el descontento de una parte importante de la comunidad gamer y abrir el debate sobre los derechos de los consumidores digitales.
