#PTSDChat we can seek to feel better, and we can seek to try to help other people to feel better: but we have to assume that at some point feeling better is just not enough. Being better is a goal that I seek to find. Without this, I wouldn't be motivated to take another breath .
#PTSDChat over the past 3 weeks we have lost five of our friends to suicide. Think about that for a little while: five people who couldn't think of reasons not to do it. And hateful people tell lies that people with this condition are dangerous to the public. That sickens me.

Lately, I've endured a few platefuls of the most vile, putrid tasting/smelling emotional meals!
Suicides have invented my plates. Pain, illness, have taken larger roles in my life.
#PTSDChat no, you can't tell if a person is hurting simply by looking at them. I've spent countless hours around people who had no idea that I was coming apart inside. Smiling through the tragedy of my terror, just so that they wouldn't be upset. Imagine using that much energy.
#PTSDChat When I get a "request" from one of these special people to add a post, I do my best to get it done. We've lost quite a few in the last couple of years, and I want their input to be known. Some are in their 80s; to me, that's special. The #CuckoosNest is all that, plus!
#PTSDChat H L: "take it like a man!" That's what Dad told me. He was beating the skin off my ass because I got beat up by 3 boys! He said a man would've "rather died than taken the beating." 9 years old, and I spent a month recovering on the hospital. I hate my dad. My story.

#PTSDChat I'm strong, but I'm not invincible. I've made my mistakes so many times here that I really don't understand how I made it past the gate that was locked so many times. To me, that just doesn't make much sense.
