TWO: You accuse me of being the problem while conveniently ignoring the actual subject of my post: the concentration of political power, the treatment of opposition figures and the growing public debate about succession within Museveni's family. Instead of addressing those concerns, you have decided to make my personality the topic. That is called changing the subject, my friend. And you have done it without even changing into a convincing argument!
THREE: You used the word pusillanimous to sound intellectually intimidating. Unfortunately, an expensive word cannot rescue a cheap argument. Pusillanimous means showing a lack of courage. Now explain to me: what exactly is courageous about defending a political system from scrutiny instead of answering questions about it? Is courage measured by how loudly you insult critics, or by how honestly you confront uncomfortable political realities?
FOUR: You say citizens are suffering because of people like me, rather than leaders pursuing harmful political ambitions. Listen carefully: citizens can criticise their leaders AND criticise fellow citizens who defend questionable political practices. Those things are not mutually exclusive. A person does not become responsible for a government's decisions merely by questioning its leadership. That is political reasoning at nursery-school level, and somehow you are still struggling with it.
FIVE: That final phrase, โyou noticed as knowingly not understandingly,โ deserves its own parliamentary inquiry. ๐คฃ๐คฃ What exactly did you intend to communicate? Because I have read it several times, and the only thing I have understood clearly is that you wanted to sound superior before checking whether your argument could stand on its own two feet.๐
Here is the difference between us: I made a political argument that you could challenge with facts. You responded with a personal insult, a complicated vocabulary word and a sentence that appears to have been assembled during a power blackout.๐
Let me make this painfully simple: if my criticism of Uganda's political situation is wrong, identify the specific claim that is wrong and provide evidence. If you believe Muhoozi's potential succession is not a legitimate public concern, explain why. If you believe Uganda's democratic institutions are functioning as they should, make that case with facts.๐
Spare us the performance of calling people cowards simply because they refuse to clap for every political development.
A democracy needs citizens who question power, not citizens who treat questions about power as personal insults.
