Following the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) liberation of Al-Halfiya area and parts of Bahri, SAF provided direct aid to feed the citizens through the local kitchens initiatives known as“Takaya” in the Halfiya region and the liberated areas of Bahri.
The citizens had been suffering from a severe shortage of food and were under siege in those areas, where the militia had implemented a policy of starvation and committed numerous violations.
