Today my attempted murder trial (pros) was adjourned. The court building is not fit to be opened. No funding to fix it. I have done weeks and weeks of prep for which I get paid £0. It has been listed for 2023 when I cant be there. @JoSidhuQC @DominicRaab @Kirsty_Brimelow

@andycorcut I noticed that is the same elsewhere. Not enough judges. 60,000 Crown Court cases in a backlog and not enough judges. You couldn't make it up. #Raabbacklog

Barristers cannot afford to go back to work on the same pay and they and solicitors @lccsa who have propped up the criminal justice system will leave getting jobs that may be less stimulating but will pay much more with a better life-work balance #raabbacklog

The reckless incompetence of Lib Dem run Elmbridge council, in failing to put a Local Plan in place, has allowed the development on the historic site at Hampton Court - which our local community in Molesey has so bitterly opposed. Unforgivable.

@DominicRaab Sadly this is nonsense as you well know. Advocates will not see the benefit of any rise for many months. You are not building a sustainable future, you are completing the destruction of the criminal justice system which your gov started in 2020. No justice for anyone #raabbacklog

The increasing backlog in the crown court is entirely caused by @DominicRaab failure to immediately implement in full the independent report which the gov obtained on legal aid. It really is his backlog now. Victims, the accused all suffering cause of him. #raabbacklog
