Videos of animal sacrifice have been found on the mobile phone of #RamSene leader #PrasadAttavar, who was arrested in connection with the vandalism at a unisex salon near #KSRTC bus stop, #Bejai in #Mangaluru. Following this, a case has been registered against him at #Barke police station.
The police have obtained a video in which an animal is sacrificed in front of a Shakti deity, and its blood is smeared on the photos of complainants #SnehamayiKrishna and #RTI activist #Gangaraju. It is alleged that the sacrifice was performed to empower them spiritually.
The matter has been brought to the attention of the City Police Commissioner, senior officers, and Chief Minister #Siddaramaiah. Based on a complaint filed by #KadriPolice Inspector #Somashekhar, a case was registered at Barke police station late on Thursday night.
It is alleged that Prasad Attavar had transferred money to #AnanthBhat for performing the animal sacrifice. As a result, another FIR has been registered against both Prasad Attavar and Ananth Bhat.
Speaking to reporters, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal stated that during the examination of Prasad Attavar’s mobile phone, several videos were found. One of them reportedly shows the sacrifice of five sheep in a temple. It is believed that the sacrifice was performed for the benefit of Snehamayi Krishna and Gangaraju.
“We are investigating who Ananth Bhat is and where the sacrifice took place. According to preliminary information, the sacrifice was performed for Snehamayi Krishna and Gangaraju. Therefore, a suo motu case has been registered,” the commissioner added.
