1/2. Great weekend at #RamblersSC19, on the 1st day of my final year as president of @ramblersscot. Can't believe that's 2yrs already! So much to look forward to in 2019/20: Stirling & Falkirk Young Walkers' inaugural walk this month....
5 young Russians came over to #RamblersSC19, as their group has just joined the European Ramblers Association. Incredible photos of their expeditions into the Urals and Caucasus...and with Russian songs to finish. They even sang Burns! I think everyone was rather moved :)
Home after #RamblersSC19 & feeling inspired to go walking & help others do the same. A packed wkend discussing walk-leader training, hilltracks, footpath mapping, wild land & more. Even incredible stories & photos from Nizhny Novgorod Mountain Club. Exciting times @ramblersscot

Five of us enjoyed a fun and informative #RamblersSC19 in Dunblane. Great presentations including amazing stuff about trecking by a group of young Russian visitors. And our motion calling for tighter regs on the spread of #hilltracks was carried unanimously.

Unanimous support for @RamblersGlasgow’s motion at #RamblersSC19, calling for tighter regulations to tackle the spread of vehicle tracks in Scotland’s uplands.
