The N53 board has the same miniature, low profile, 100% compatible connector as the entire #rayStack series. The idea is to have a solder-less module which can be upgraded anytime. Of course, new features could also be added by attaching an extension board at the top or bottom.

The mating height of the #rayStack platform is highly customizable, hence the #FreeCAD parametrized spacer frame.

Another thing the #rayStack has got is the Hirose #DF40 series connector. Its footprint width is as low as 3.38 mm. But the killer feature is the multiple #stack height option, ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 mm. Yep, the distance between boards can be less than the board thickness! 🤏

Brought the #rayBeacon's Orient 9-axis IMU board to the #rayStack. Same #LSM303AGR & #BMG250 over I2C, and 0603 passives. The M.A.G. block is just 0Ω resistors to configure optional interrupt lines from the magnetometer, accelerometer, and gyroscope.

This one attaches a 2032 3V battery to the #rayStack. The component in the center is a SOD-523 protection diode. This time no silk on either side - only the copper which strikes #afterdark. Developed in #KiCad, routed with #inkscape.
