#RealTics i have been tapering off my old tic med bc of side effects\reduced effectiveness and it has been messing with my heartrate which i usually monitor on my watch but it has been freaking me out so i replaced it with a scrolling message that just says 'You are safe.'

#RealTics #ActualTourettes #ActuallyOCD anyone with both tourettes and OCD have trouble distinguishing between tics and compulsions? i know theyre commonly comorbid and there is some overlap but some tics\compulsions seem easier to distinguish than others

I finally have another amusing tic of the day: "Texas is a place for penguins and perishing." #RealTics

@twitchyspoonie @garlictonic i quite like #RealTics due to it including other tic spectrum conditions, plus the character limit thing

"Wow! I'm gay. I'm a cat. Fuck you. Drop. Cheese!" This is what my #RealTics can sound like on an average day.

@garlictonic Yeah, #RealTics might help if we want to discuss our specific tics while debunking the stigmas as well.

@twitchyspoonie #ActualTourettes seems clear and straight to the point. Ive seen people on tumblr (back when i used to hang out there) use the tag #actuallytourettes or something along that line . #Realtics is shorter tho so probs better for twitter's chara limit

I know I've used #Tourettes before, but that can get problematic. Sometimes I'll use #SevereTourettes, but that obviously doesn't encompass everyone. Maybe something like #ActualTourettes or #RealTics or #RealTiccers or something along those lines? I'm not sure.
