So this is a really good thread about this new @QueerEye episode. I thought there were good parts of the episode - the awareness of how inaccessible many things are for disabled people, for example - but personally this language made me really uncomfortable. #ReallyDisabled

I am indeed #ReallyDisabled and to even name a charity "disabled but not really" is insulting to the community at large. We shouldn't have to pretend to be able OR cater to able-bodied standards. Isn't that what QE should be about? Not catering to the status quo? Self-love?

Disability is not inherently negative. It does not mean lack of ability and it definitely doesn't mean lack of worth. I am #ReallyDisabled and have done and will do great things. I've done them with my disabilities, not despite them.
