Another twist on the #recoverymodel “Recovery is whatever it looks like to you” Oh that’s easy, it looks like the world I lived in before the wrecking ball that is #SMI entered my world. You talk of steps that may help, mate, you can’t even begin to imagine the path through hell.
I’m a ‘difficult to engage’ SMI . I find the oxymoronic #recoverymodel very challenging. I hear: “we work on a recovery based model” Brilliant! Recover me! Nothing I want more. Oh wait, you told me #Schizoaffective was incurable. It’s definitely destroying me.

I reject the #RecoveryModel as being an appropriate Tx for #ChronicPain.
It's a not-so-subtle form of #gaslighting based solely upon the idea that the patient should just buck up, stop complaining, stop asking for med help, & do it all themselves, complete with making AMENDS.😳
