Just saw this clip under #REDHackathon topic, it's hilarious. Not sure if it's for sale yet, but if it drops, let me know. I'd defo buy one!
Tired of the bulky traditional guitar?
Reimagining chord instruments with embedded intelligence.
PG-2 A pocket guitar, built in 48 hours, at the REDHackathon. Not a mockup — something you can actually play. That kind of honest, playful craftsmanship means more than any grand vision.
A compact, expressive chord controller built on ESP32-S3.
Interaction design:
• 6 capacitive touch strings → instant chord triggering
• Analog joystick → real-time chord shaping
• Rotary encoder → seamless chord group switching
• Dedicated control buttons → fast navigation
Under the hood:
ESP32-S3 (240MHz), ES8311 audio codec (I2S), MPR121 touch sensing, WS2812 LEDs, IMU, RTC, SD storage, and MIDI-ready via UART.
Low-latency, tactile, and modular — bridging hardware interaction with digital music systems.
PG-2 explores a different direction:
from traditional playing → programmable chord expression.
Ye Bowen turned inspiration from games into reality. On rednote, people find more than just hardcore tech — there’s also innovation hiding behind every ordinary person’s interest. More young people are sharing their tech creation process — code, hardware, failures, iterations on rednote. These posts are forming high‑energy discussion zones where real technical conversations happen, not just empty likes. rednote is becoming a living lab for the next generation of geeks.

not sure if other platforms can make this, but it looks quite cool at #REDHackathon
Best thing I’ve seen at #REDHackathon: Vibe Center. 🎙️🛠️
A dedicated physical button for seamless voice-to-text. It learns your quirks, respects privacy with local Whisper, and even monitors multi-agent states via Claude Code. The hardware-software synergy here is 💯.

The Chic Chic app is terrifying if you're a mid-level digital artist. If a 48-hour #REDHackathon project can do 3D Gaussian hair reconstruction better than professional software from two years ago, the "entry-level" creative tech job market is basically a crater.
No one can walk out of a barbershop with a smile?
We fixed that.
Introducing Chic Chic — a “hairstyle TikTok” that learns your face, your style, and your vibe with every swipe.
Powered by recommendation systems, diffusion models, and Gaussian hair reconstruction — so you see the perfect cut before it happens.
No more, anything works.
No more haircut regrets.
Just AI that actually understands how you want to look.
This isn’t just a feature.
It’s the future of personal style.
Chic Chic solves the core haircut pain: you can’t reliably preview a hairstyle on your actual self. Low confidence, high regret.
The product builds a closed loop — recommendation system learns your taste implicitly, Gaussian reconstruction creates your 3D head model, diffusion models render photorealistic hairstyles.
That turns “face shape, style, vibe” into computable logic.
The challenge? Reconstruction quality depends on user photos. And AI‑generated results don’t always match what scissors can do. But the direction — personal style as a recommendation problem — is spot on.
What’s mind‑blowing? This was built in just 48 hours at 2026 REDHackathon — and it won 1st place in the software track.
Technology doesn't necessarily have to be used to change the world; it can also be fun. Personal interests and fun can truly drive creativity, and rednote provides a great platform for the new generation of geeks to freely unleash their imaginations, experiment, and create. I do look forward to seeing more interesting products like this in the future.🚀

For years, great ideas without coding skills went nowhere. Seeing a deaf team at #REDHackathon build a speech-correction app in 48 hours feels like a shift in human rights, not just tech. It's no longer about who can code — it's about who cares enough.
Most hackathon posts blur together.
This one didn’t.
What pulled me into REDHackathon was the mix of people and products showing up in the same place.

This confirms "Big Brands" are losing. Why buy a $1,000 hair dryer from a legacy company when a 22-year-old at #REDHackathon built a robot arm that does it for me? rednote lets "vibe-coders" bypass marketing and sell directly via a demo that works.
Flew to Shanghai for #REDHackathon -- It’s a rare display of what 2C-oriented, Gen Z coders are thinking about in China, driven by 2 costs hitting (almost) 0: intelligence (vibe-coding) and physical prototyping.
My bet: a wave of vibe-coding-enabled hardware coming out of China in the next 12 months, validated by feedback loops from rednote.
5 dope projects + 5 structural insights below:🧵
Got confused about relationships? Just tell this Lucky Calendar — uses pure mysticism to analyze your fate… then prints a sticky note with the answer.
Most magical thing at #REDHackathon in Shanghai. Chinese young people believe in mysticism too lol
Wait… Chinese young guys actually made a device that gives your photos scent?!
Take a picture → AI analyzes it → matches the perfect fragrance → prints the scent.
This is next-level crazy (and genius) at the #REDHackathon
I need this in my life.

feel the tech vibe in China:48 hours are up! Some are thriving, some are barely alive... Demo time incoming — so hyped!

At the #REDHackathon these guys are building an Agent Network to revolutionize the food delivery game… in just 48 hours, changing the entire delivery industry with two days of coding? Chinese young people are Bold. I’m seated. Who’s winning this bet?

Saw the #REDHackathon poster in Lujiazui metro and almost screamed — there’s a 13-year-old kid competing!!
How is he so talented at 13?? I’m genuinely envious Can his parents drop the parenting guide please?
There’s even a team of deaf participants at the #REDHackathon! Their project is to create a device that helps hearing-impaired adults learn oral speech, inspired by Conan’s voice-changing gadget. This is next-level cool. Super excited for their final work!
Shanghai turning into a massive hackathon arena
Respect to the AI era! #REDHackathon looks so epic — that outdoor screen is straight fire.
The infinite creativity of these tech beasts is on another level.
This wave is maxing out the hackathon spirit!! Already locked in, waiting

honestly vibe-coding hackathons produce the weirdest best stuff when it's open sourced. No one's trying to be clever, just shipping. some of my fav libs came from this energy. #REDHackathon is doing it right
It starts! The #REDHackathon just kicked off and I’m already getting chills watching those young AI creators lock in for 48 hours at Zhangjiang.
Most hackathon announcements sound the same.
What made me stop on REDHackathon wasn’t the event copy.
It was the contrast between two contestants.
One is a teenage builder who grew up learning with AI.
The other is a founder building in AI companionship with a much more product-driven lens.
Completely different profiles.
But together, they say a lot about where this new generation of builders is heading.

Big thx 2 @Pusher 4 funding my trip to #London 4 #RedHackathon @AbbeyRoadRed. Here I am presenting #Gelfie (GlitchedSelfie) w @aford78 our project w @facebook #SparkAR 2 judges . Also big thx 2 mentor @RedRoxProjects #AR #XR #Glitch #digitalart
