And Americans have every right to expect their government -- regardless of party -- to protect those rights, and demonstrate absolute moral clarity when horrific incidents like this occur. Today we cannot say either is true. And this happens as the City Council proceeds with prosecuting me for 'islamophobia' over my exercise of constitutionally protected speech, spoken out of valid concern that THESE VERY INCIDENTS of jihadi terrorism were being enabled by the nexus of leftism and Islamism that has taken hold in New York and the West in general. Democrats will not protect us. That much is clear. They will not protect our right to free speech and assembly under the constitution, and they will not protect us from those who seek to murder us for exercising those rights. New York is in a very bad place, with the worst possible people in charge.

Freedom of religion was never meant to be a suicide pact. It was meant to preserve moral order, not dismantle it. If a so-called religion (Islam) demands special treatment, refuses to respect the Constitution, or promotes values that undermine American life, it’s not protected. It’s rejected.
