1.🧵REMARX : 𝙒𝙃𝙔 𝙍𝙀𝙑𝙊𝙇𝙐𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉, 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝙅𝙐𝙎𝙏 𝙍𝙀𝙁𝙊𝙍𝙈𝙎 Why can't Nigeria be fixed with better policies? Why do we insist that only a revolution can bring real change? Every election season, politicians promise to fix Nigeria. A new minimum wage, another anti-corruption agency, a new constitution, better policing, and this time, they swear, things will be different. We have heard it all before🥱. These are reforms. 𝘼 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢, 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙨, 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙪𝙗𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙛𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙬. 𝘼 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙜𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧. It means changing who owns the wealth and who holds political power. Why do Marxists insist that reforms alone cannot fix Nigeria?

If you had asked me back in my pre-teen days of listening to @richardmarx that I’d grow up to rely on his savage Twitter takes as my source of comfort during a global pandemic.....Also can we brand these burns #remarx?
