Âgé de 58 ans, #Magloire_Paluku_Kavunga, né le 12 décembre 1966 à #Butembo, était une figure culturelle bien connue dans l’est de la République démocratique du Congo. Journaliste, écrivain-poète, musicien, comédien et animateur, il était aussi le fondateur de #Radio_Kivu1, un média influent dans la région. Proche de #Corneille_Nangaa, il avait été conseiller culturel et artistique au ministère congolais de la Culture avant de rejoindre ce groupe terroriste après avoir travaillé comme directeur de cabinet dudit ministère.
En juillet 2024, #Magloire_Paluku avait été condamné à mort dans le cadre du procès intenté contre #Corneille_Nangaa et 24 autres coaccusés devant la #Cour_militaire_de_la_Gombe. Ils étaient poursuivis pour crimes de guerre, trahison et participation à un mouvement insurrectionnel dans l’est du pays. Son nom figurait sur la liste des 25 prévenus, aux côtés notamment de l’ex-président de la #CENI, le fugitif #Corneille_Nangaa, et de plusieurs officiers de la coalition genocidaire #RDF_M23_AFC_TWIRWANEHO🇷🇼. Les circonstances exactes du tir mortel n’ont pas encore été précisées.
