@RoxanaDaneshjou @JAHA_AHA It’s not irony that paper on The “History of D&I initiatives in cardiology” never once mentions the word “racism” in the 12+ page document. It was intentional.

@JAHA_AHA You cannot claim to endorse inclusiveness and condemn discrimination when you published a paper that literally states without evidence that URM students are treated in a more "lenient" manner when research shows they face barriers of structural racism.
We have heard from so many who saw this 12 page sack of racism as incredibly triggering for imposter syndrome. It claims Black & Latinx Med students are less-than academically. It pokes holes into D&I initiatives.
Can we #RetractRacists ?

There are many reasons why this piece is harmful outlined by #MedTwitter, but I want to focus on the fact that the author was of Asian decent.
