Five levels of galleries and relevant access tunnels per each side of the banks are foreseen to be excavated in the #Rogun Dam construction site, supported and reinforced concrete lined as permanent structures to be operative during the whole life span of the Dam.
While the excavation and lining works are under finalization at the upper levels, the consolidation and grout curtain works are successfully proceeding at the bottom levels of galleries.

Works are now in progress to consolidate and waterproof the abutments of the Rogun Dam Core: more than 250 km of drilling and grouting works are foreseen to be performed, to improve the mechanical response of the existing rock mass and extend the water barrier towards the lateral banks.
