Even now BMRCL gives shifting deadlines only because there is ZERO accountability.

In 2013, ISEC led Bengaluru metro's fare committee understood public transport. They pegged fares at affordable levels (See pic).
In 2024 FFC toured Singapore & Hong Kong but failed to understand public transport function. BMRCL conned them to get high fares.

The only practical solution to Bengaluru’s traffic nightmare is reliable and affordable public transport and mass rapid transit systems.
When metro fares become irrational, citizens are forced back to private vehicles bringing it back to square one.
Instead of wasting thousands of crores on real estate vanity projects such as the Tunnel road, the state government should invest on efficient mass mobility aimed at transporting people.
It is high time the State Government asks for a new fare Fixation Committee ensuring logical and commuter friendly metro pricing taking the interests of the people into priority.

Fares on Delhi-Meerut RRTS represent better value for money than BMRCL fares.
A 33 km journey on RRTS is under 30 minutes and costs 90/-
A 33 km journey on Namma Metro is more than an hour and costs 90/-
BMRCL must #RollBackFares. It must not test the patience of commuters.
Dear BMRCL,
Last year you admitted to wrong fares due to technical error (9th-14th Feb 2025). You didn't compensate stating there wasn't any mechanism to do so.
Current fares are also wrong. Pls formulate a compensation mechanism as #RollBackFares is inevitable.

Mumbai Metro Line 1 a.k.a. Blue Line hasn't seen any fare revision since 2015.
Fare revisions from the 1st & 2nd FFC weren't implemented.
Bombay HC scrapped 1st FFC terming it defective & ordered a fresh FFC.
MMOPL rejected 2nd FFC fares too.
BMRCL must #RollBackFares NOW.
In late 2015 Bombay HC stayed the FFC fare hike & confirmed it in Dec 2017.
It quashed both the FFC report & MMOPL's proposal as "defective" that had recommended a max. fare slab of 110/-
In 2025, Bengaluru metro FFC Report has multiple self-evident defects.

Here's a remarkable thing about metro costs in India.
Mumbai Line 4 at ~₹14,549 crore vs. Bengaluru Blue Line at ~₹14,788 crore — despite Bengaluru's line being nearly twice as long (58 km vs. 32-35 km).
But Mumbai metro fares are cheaper than Bengaluru. Why?

However BMRCL must not use that reason for delaying the fare correction. We are all paying 30% extra for BMRCL mistakes and FFC's poor oversight. #RollBackFares is a moral imperative for BMRCL.
