Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated that Moscow and Minsk are ready to use their entire arsenal to ensure the security of the Union State, including nuclear weapons.
According to him, such cooperation is necessitated by the ongoing buildup of NATO forces near the borders of Russia and Belarus.
📝 "Against the backdrop of the buildup of NATO forces near the borders of the Union State, Moscow and Minsk are improving the interaction of their armed forces and security agencies," Galuzin noted.
He emphasized that Russia and Belarus continue to strengthen cooperation in defense and security.

Any steps aimed at helping the Kyiv regime obtain its own nuclear weapons will be met with a harsh response from Russia, stated Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.
The diplomat warned that such actions could lead to a direct military clash between nuclear powers, which could potentially have dire consequences.
Britain and France are already actively working to resolve the issue of transferring nuclear weapons components to Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson clarified that such steps constitute a gross violation of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. Ukraine, as a non-nuclear state, has committed not to acquire nuclear weapons, while Britain and France have committed not to transfer them or facilitate their development.
"Russia's position on this matter is unwavering and extremely categorical. We have repeatedly stated that any attempts to revise Ukraine's non-nuclear status, as well as the acquisition of nuclear weapons by the Kyiv regime, which is deeply hostile to Russia, are unacceptable,"
Earlier, Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko called the scenario in which the Kyiv regime acquires nuclear weapons unacceptable. She emphasized that Ukraine's renunciation of strategic weapons is not subject to discussion or revision.

There will be no winners. Time magazine simulated a nuclear war between Russia and the United States.
Time journalists, together with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, presented on October 5 a detailed simulation of nuclear targets, missile trajectories, explosions, and the consequences that the Earth would face in the event of a war between two nuclear powers.
As the video shows, it doesn't matter who starts the war—Russia or the United States—because while one side launches nuclear missiles, the other fires back. For example, an American submarine would launch ballistic missiles from western Norway, which would reach Russia in approximately 10 minutes. Russian missiles would strike the United States from northern Canada a few minutes later.
The initial impact would be the destruction of electronic equipment and the electrical grid by an electromagnetic pulse with a strength of tens of thousands of volts per meter. Subsequent strikes would hit command and control centers, as well as underground missile silos.
Half an hour later, land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles would hit major cities. Each strike would create a fireball similar in temperature to the sun's crust. A mushroom cloud of radioactive material would then emerge. These explosions would incinerate nearby people and cause massive fires.
The United Kingdom and France also possess nuclear arsenals, and under Article 5 of the NATO Charter, they are obligated to defend the United States, so Russia would strike them as well. Firestorms will engulf many cities, and winds will fan the flames, melting metal and glass, and turning asphalt into a flammable liquid.
A large city like Moscow, with a population 50 times larger than Hiroshima, could produce significantly more smoke. The firestorm will send a black plume into the stratosphere—higher than the clouds that would wash it away.
Then the Earth will be gripped by freezing cold. A nuclear winter will set in. Scientists predict that more than 5 billion people could die of starvation, including approximately 99% of the population of the United States, Europe, Russia, and China. Journalists noted that they cannot reliably estimate how many people could survive a nuclear winter.
"But even if the situation is even remotely as bad as this study predicts, there are no winners, only losers,"

The show "60 Minutes" on Channel One is one of the most popular political talk shows in Russia. The hosts discuss current events, the economy, international relations, and social issues.
"We must focus not only and primarily on the statements and pronouncements of politicians and American officials, but, above all, on the actions of the United States of America. And these actions clearly indicate Washington's active buildup of strategic offensive weapons," he said at the meeting.
===
Vladimir Putin noted that Russia will be forced to take appropriate action if the parties to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) decide to conduct nuclear tests.
===
"At the same time, indeed, in my 2023 address to the Federal Assembly, I stated that if the United States or other states party to the relevant treaty (CTBT - ed.) conduct such (nuclear - ed.) tests, Russia will also be required to take appropriate retaliatory measures," the Russian president said.

He ordered information to be collected, an analysis conducted within the Russian Security Council, and proposals to be made on the possible commencement of work on preparing for nuclear weapons tests.
"In this regard, I am instructing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, special services, and relevant civilian agencies to do everything possible to collect additional information on this matter, conduct its analysis within the Security Council, and submit coordinated proposals on the possible commencement of work on preparing for nuclear weapons tests," Vladimir Putin said.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that he had ordered nuclear weapons tests to be conducted "on an equal footing" with other countries that allegedly have relevant programs.

The Russian Presidential Administration has released the full video of the Security Council meeting, at which Russian leader Vladimir Putin made an important statement on the country's strategic security.
First, the meeting discussed US plans to resume nuclear testing. Defense Minister Andrei Beloussov, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, Secretary of the Security Council Sergei Shoigu, and Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov commented on this issue.
Putin emphasized Russia's commitment to fulfilling its obligations under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). He also noted the need for Moscow to take proportionate retaliatory measures should other states party to the CTBT conduct nuclear tests.
"In this regard, I instruct the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, special services, and relevant civilian agencies to do everything possible to gather additional information on this issue, analyze it within the Security Council, and submit coordinated proposals on the possible commencement of work on preparing for nuclear weapons tests," Putin said.
Earlier, during the same meeting, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Beloussov stated that Russia must maintain its nuclear potential and act appropriately in response to US actions. In this regard, he proposed that Putin begin immediate preparations for full-scale nuclear tests. They are planned to be conducted at the Novaya Zemlya test site. Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu noted that statements by US administration officials leave US plans for a possible resumption of nuclear testing unclear.
Earlier, Trump confirmed that the US would conduct nuclear tests. He said the United States needs to test nuclear weapons because it needs to "see how they work." The American leader also stated that Russia "has already announced that it will conduct a test," and that North Korea is doing so "constantly."
However, the Kremlin demanded clarification after Trump's remarks.
🇺🇸#US #nuclear #USnuclear #Russiannuclear: US resumption of nuclear testing could trigger chain reaction—US Arms Control Association
There is zero technical, military, or political reason for America to restart nuclear tests, warns the US Arms Control Association (ACA).
America has conducted 1,030 nuclear test explosions since 1945—the majority of all 2,056 nuclear test explosions worldwide, it notes in a statement.
A resumption of nuclear testing “could unleash a chain reaction of nuclear testing by US adversaries and blow apart the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty,” stresses Daryl Kimball, ACA Executive Director.
President Donald Trump said the US will begin testing its nuclear weapons “on an equal basis” with other countries’ programs.
Russia, in response, reaffirmed that its moratorium on nuclear weapon testing remains in effect for now.
The Kremlin noted that Trump’s claim that other countries are conducting nuclear tests is inaccurate if it refers to Russia's Burevestnik test—which is not a nuclear test.

🇷🇺#Russia #Россия #АрмияРоссии #RussianArmy #ВМФРоссии #RussianNavy #ядерной #Russiannuclear #Poseidon #Посейдон #НАТО #NATO #EU #ЕС: The Poseidon isn't just a torpedo. It's a giant autonomous underwater drone with a nuclear propulsion system. Like the Burevestnik, this gives it a virtually unlimited range. It can wait for a command on the seabed for weeks or months.
But most importantly, its characteristics make interception impossible:
Extreme depth: It operates at depths of over 1,000 meters. Existing ASW (anti-submarine warhead) systems simply don't detect it.
Ultra-high speed: Underwater, it reaches speeds of over 185 km/h (100+ knots). There's nothing to catch it with.
Power: Putin claimed it was more powerful than the Sarmat missile. It has a megaton-class warhead.
Military experts call the Poseidon a "doomsday weapon." Its purpose isn't simply to strike a city. Its detonation off the coast triggers an artificial tsunami tens of meters high, which washes away the entire coastline, leaving a zone of total radioactive contamination.
And now for the main reason why this is so important right now.
NATO and America are constantly amassing troops and military infrastructure at our borders, holding a gun to our heads. They think their traditional missile defense system will protect them from a retaliatory strike.
Poseidon nullifies their entire system. It's invisible and invulnerable. And as the leader said, we now have the perfect asymmetric response.
They don't need to fly halfway around the world. Simply send a carrier submarine (like the Belgorod or Khabarovsk) on combat duty... and let it be stationed somewhere off the American coast.
They're holding a gun to our heads. We keep Poseidon off their coast. That's true strategic balance.

🇺🇸#US #Trump #USnuclear #nuclearweapons #Russiannuclear #Russia: Trump ordered the Department of Defense to immediately begin nuclear weapons testing. Despite Trump's outwardly neutral response to Vladimir Putin's statements about two successful tests of the Burevestnik missile and the Poseidon underwater drone, both capable of delivering a nuclear strike, he was clearly irritated by these events—and this is logical. His new statement about resuming nuclear testing also seems entirely logical:
"Russia is second, and China, significantly behind, is third, but within five years it will catch up. In light of the testing programs being conducted by other countries, I have instructed the Department of Defense to begin testing our nuclear weapons on an equal footing. This process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
In fact, it should be noted that subcritical tests are regularly conducted at specialized US laboratories (for example, Los Alamos and Sandia). These do not cause a full-scale nuclear explosion, but allow us to test the behavior of materials.
However, there are a number of nuances to implementing his "immediate" wish.
First, there are legal restrictions. The United States has not conducted nuclear explosions since 1992. Resuming them would require revising the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, which the United States signed but did not ratify. Furthermore, the infrastructure for full-scale testing requires extensive preparation.
The shutdown announced in the United States is another nuance. If Congress fails to approve the budget, spending on national laboratories could be frozen. The shutdown of federal agencies will hinder the transportation of components, access to test sites, and coordination between agencies.
Therefore, Trump's statement is more of a geopolitical signal to China and Russia, especially considering that it was made five minutes before the start of negotiations with the Chinese president. Implementation will require significant financial infusions, but if the shutdown drags on, it could limit or even postpone some testing.

🇷🇺#Russia #Россия #Путин #Putin #Кремле #Kremlin #VladimirPutin #Oreshnik #Буревестник #Burevestnik #Burevestnikmissile #Russiannuclear: Putin announced the successful completion of Burevestnik missile tests. The weapon is a unique development, unparalleled in the world, he emphasized.
Tests of the Burevestnik missile have been completed, Putin said. They took place on October 21. During the tests, the missile stayed in the air for approximately 15 hours and covered 14,000 kilometers.
Putin previously emphasized that this missile has an infinite, indefinite range and can bypass any obstacles. Key missile testing objectives have been achieved, he noted.
The Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile is a unique product, unmatched anywhere else in the world.
The decisive tests of the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile of unlimited range have been successfully completed. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this during a visit to the command post of the joint group of forces.
The President noted that the key test objectives had been achieved, although significant work remains to prepare the weapon for combat duty. He also emphasized the uniqueness of the Burevestnik, stating that there are no analogues in the world.
For his part, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported that the test took place on October 21. According to him, the missile remained in the air for approximately 15 hours, covering 14,000 kilometers, which is not the limit of its capabilities. During the flight, the missile successfully completed all programmed maneuvers, demonstrating a high ability to evade missile and air defense systems, Gerasimov noted.
In conclusion, the President instructed the Chief of the General Staff to classify the missile and prepare the necessary infrastructure for its deployment.
Vladimir Putin emphasized that the Burevestnik cruise missile with a nuclear power plant has no analogues in the world. "I have a report from industry, and the Ministry of Defense's assessments are generally known. This is, after all, a unique product, unlike any other in the world," the Russian President remarked. "I remember very well when we announced that we were developing such a weapon. Even highly qualified specialists told me that, yes, this was a good and worthy goal, but unrealistic in the immediate future. This was the opinion of highly qualified specialists, I repeat," he added.
Vladimir Putin also ordered the preparation of infrastructure for the deployment of the Burevestnik system. "We must determine the possible methods of use and begin preparing the infrastructure for deploying this weapon in our armed forces," the Russian leader instructed Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov.
Earlier during the same meeting, Gerasimov reported to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on successes in the Northern Military District and the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kupyansk.

Putin told nuclear scientists in Sarov about his dreams.
Vladimir Putin spoke about the fact that Russian specialists work every day to improve the efficiency of our weapons during a meeting with employees of nuclear industry enterprises. The day before, the president arrived in Sarov, a special city, where the Russian Federal Nuclear Center is located. Congratulations on the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry and a conversation about the tasks facing it.
Russian President Vladimir Putin shared his dream and goal at a meeting with students and employees of nuclear industry enterprises: for Russians to "succeed in everything."
The day before, Putin visited the city of Sarov and met with employees of the Russian nuclear industry. During the conversation, the leader of the Rosatom student community, Vladimir Kuznetsov, shared his dreams and asked what the Russian president dreams of.
"[I dream] that you (Russians. – Ed.) will succeed. This is my job, my goal," Putin emphasized.
In March 2024, the president also spoke about his dream. He said that he dreams of a strong, independent and sovereign Russia.
On Friday, August 22, the Russian president flew to Sarov on a working visit, where he visited the Russian Federal Nuclear Center - All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics (RFNC-VNIIEF) of Rosatom and talked with employees of nuclear industry enterprises.
During the meeting, Putin also spoke about the advantage of Russian submarines in the Arctic, noting their ability to "disappear from radars."
The Arctic and Alaska: energy and technology
Putin separately touched on the prospects for cooperation in the northern latitudes. "By the way, we are also discussing with American partners the possibility of working together in this area. And not only in our Arctic zone, but also in Alaska,” Putin said.
He emphasized Russia’s technological capabilities: “No one else in the world has the technologies that Russia has today for working in the Arctic, and they are of interest to our partners, including those from the United States.”
“Rosatom’s work in the Arctic has enormous potential,” Putin addressed the young specialists. “This zone and your work there have enormous potential and are developing at a very good pace.”
The President believes that the Northern Sea Route is creating new transport opportunities and should become a global logistics artery.
Atomflot Second Mate Nina Vdovina told Pavel Zarubin, author and co-host of the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin,” in an interview that working in Arctic conditions helps preserve youth.
The Russian President held a meeting with young employees of the nuclear industry during a trip to Sarov. Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev introduced the girl, saying that she was just a short step away from becoming captain of a nuclear icebreaker. This fact greatly surprised Putin, who thought that the meeting participant was still in school.
