▪️ Launch and retaliatory strike: Both sides launch simultaneous strikes, destroying the enemy's infrastructure and command and control facilities.
▪️ Electromagnetic pulses: The initial strikes will disable electrical grids and electronic devices.
▪️ Target of initial strikes: Command centers, communication systems, and underground missile bases.
▪️ Intercontinental missiles: Attack major cities within half an hour, creating fireballs and mushroom clouds.
▪️ Damage Spread: Damage to buildings, widespread fires, and radiation contamination.
▪️ Allied Obligations: Britain and France will join the conflict, increasing the number of affected areas.
▪️ Environmental consequences: Black smoke from the fires causes global cooling ("nuclear winter").
▪️ Scale of the tragedy: Global food shortages will lead to the deaths of billions of people.
▪️ Result: There are no winners, only colossal losses for humanity.

There will be no winners. Time magazine simulated a nuclear war between Russia and the United States.
Time journalists, together with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, presented on October 5 a detailed simulation of nuclear targets, missile trajectories, explosions, and the consequences that the Earth would face in the event of a war between two nuclear powers.
As the video shows, it doesn't matter who starts the war—Russia or the United States—because while one side launches nuclear missiles, the other fires back. For example, an American submarine would launch ballistic missiles from western Norway, which would reach Russia in approximately 10 minutes. Russian missiles would strike the United States from northern Canada a few minutes later.
The initial impact would be the destruction of electronic equipment and the electrical grid by an electromagnetic pulse with a strength of tens of thousands of volts per meter. Subsequent strikes would hit command and control centers, as well as underground missile silos.
Half an hour later, land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles would hit major cities. Each strike would create a fireball similar in temperature to the sun's crust. A mushroom cloud of radioactive material would then emerge. These explosions would incinerate nearby people and cause massive fires.
The United Kingdom and France also possess nuclear arsenals, and under Article 5 of the NATO Charter, they are obligated to defend the United States, so Russia would strike them as well. Firestorms will engulf many cities, and winds will fan the flames, melting metal and glass, and turning asphalt into a flammable liquid.
A large city like Moscow, with a population 50 times larger than Hiroshima, could produce significantly more smoke. The firestorm will send a black plume into the stratosphere—higher than the clouds that would wash it away.
Then the Earth will be gripped by freezing cold. A nuclear winter will set in. Scientists predict that more than 5 billion people could die of starvation, including approximately 99% of the population of the United States, Europe, Russia, and China. Journalists noted that they cannot reliably estimate how many people could survive a nuclear winter.
"But even if the situation is even remotely as bad as this study predicts, there are no winners, only losers,"
🇺🇸#US #nuclear #USnuclear #Russiannuclear: US resumption of nuclear testing could trigger chain reaction—US Arms Control Association
There is zero technical, military, or political reason for America to restart nuclear tests, warns the US Arms Control Association (ACA).
America has conducted 1,030 nuclear test explosions since 1945—the majority of all 2,056 nuclear test explosions worldwide, it notes in a statement.
A resumption of nuclear testing “could unleash a chain reaction of nuclear testing by US adversaries and blow apart the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty,” stresses Daryl Kimball, ACA Executive Director.
President Donald Trump said the US will begin testing its nuclear weapons “on an equal basis” with other countries’ programs.
Russia, in response, reaffirmed that its moratorium on nuclear weapon testing remains in effect for now.
The Kremlin noted that Trump’s claim that other countries are conducting nuclear tests is inaccurate if it refers to Russia's Burevestnik test—which is not a nuclear test.
(Sputnik)

🇺🇸#US #Trump #USnuclear #nuclearweapons #Russiannuclear #Russia: Trump ordered the Department of Defense to immediately begin nuclear weapons testing. Despite Trump's outwardly neutral response to Vladimir Putin's statements about two successful tests of the Burevestnik missile and the Poseidon underwater drone, both capable of delivering a nuclear strike, he was clearly irritated by these events—and this is logical. His new statement about resuming nuclear testing also seems entirely logical:
"Russia is second, and China, significantly behind, is third, but within five years it will catch up. In light of the testing programs being conducted by other countries, I have instructed the Department of Defense to begin testing our nuclear weapons on an equal footing. This process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
In fact, it should be noted that subcritical tests are regularly conducted at specialized US laboratories (for example, Los Alamos and Sandia). These do not cause a full-scale nuclear explosion, but allow us to test the behavior of materials.
However, there are a number of nuances to implementing his "immediate" wish.
First, there are legal restrictions. The United States has not conducted nuclear explosions since 1992. Resuming them would require revising the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, which the United States signed but did not ratify. Furthermore, the infrastructure for full-scale testing requires extensive preparation.
The shutdown announced in the United States is another nuance. If Congress fails to approve the budget, spending on national laboratories could be frozen. The shutdown of federal agencies will hinder the transportation of components, access to test sites, and coordination between agencies.
Therefore, Trump's statement is more of a geopolitical signal to China and Russia, especially considering that it was made five minutes before the start of negotiations with the Chinese president. Implementation will require significant financial infusions, but if the shutdown drags on, it could limit or even postpone some testing.
