Casualmente... #Sealift

Ever wonder how the U.S. Army sends its steel beasts overseas? Your Friendly Neighborhood Armor MAJOR of Fort Benning (ret.) got you🫵🏼! Picture dozens of M1 Abrams main battle tanks, each tipping the scales at 70+ tons, lined up like armored elephants, rumbling their way onto massive cargo ships. This isn’t a “drive it into a garage” moment. It’s a finely tuned ballet of logistics: 🔹 Roll-On/Roll-Off Magic 🪄 Most tanks board specialized RORO (Roll-On/Roll-Off) vessels via huge ramps, driving under their own power straight into the ship’s belly. 👉🏼 Deck by Deck 🚜 Inside, tanks are parked bumper-to-bumper, often on multiple decks, then chained down with heavy steel tie-downs so they won’t budge a single inch at sea. 👉🏼Port Powerhouses 🏝️ Ports like Beaumont, TX and Charleston, SC are major gateways for Army armor shipments, sometimes moving hundreds of vehicles in a single load-out. 👉🏼Time is Muscle 💪🏼 Loadouts can run 24/7 with precision timing, moving a whole armored brigade’s worth of equipment in just a few days. 👉🏼Global Reach 🗺️ From the U.S. to Europe, the Middle East, or the Pacific, these voyages are the backbone of America’s ability to put armored power anywhere on the planet. It’s one thing to see my Mighty M1 Abrams roaring across a battlefield, it’s another to watch it disappear into a ship, knowing it’s on its way to make history somewhere far from home. 🌍💪 And the MORE YOU🫵🏼 know 📚 🤓 from your Friendly Neighborhood Armor MAJOR(ret.) #TheArmorMAJOR #M1Abrams #MilitaryLogisitics #ArmorBranch #Tanks
