so I suggested to make these searchable with /s/prompt+engineering as a general-purpose search page, that way we could rank for a lot of keywords and these pages show a list of results filtering on title + job description
I don't know how complex the filtering logic is here, but if he's using sql just full text search might be enough? Probably don't need a full AI vector search.

but imo this is one of the better examples for gallery pages because I think they focused on conversion rate #SEOROAST @levelsio:

@levelsio yeah but u have to pump it up 10x: profile pages, comments/likes, multiple tags
the only downside is you'll have a shitload of adult & nsfw content ranking (but you can run a nsfw filter on your categories and noindex them if you want)
#SEOROAST - We decided to remove the ?via and ?ref checks here for @levelsio
The idea was to NOT index affiliate links so they would not appear on Google search, causing lost revenue.
But Photo AI (& Interior AI) have closed their affiliate program, so this is not necessary.
The reason I want to remove these is that it's potentially losing the "link juice" that you'd receive from these old links. (image 1)
The canonical URL looks like this:
<link rel="canonical" href="https://photoai .com/tinder">
If this is set on your website, Google will concentrate all the "link juice" to that page, so it will also not index the other pages (usually).
You CAN include BOTH robots noindex and canonical URL, in 2021 Google used to say this was the right way, BUT this seems to have been affirmed by Google again that it's NOT the right way and you need to pick ONE or the OTHER. (Classic Google saying two opposite things btw).
But I want to make 100% sure we keep that backlink juice, it's very important, so let's not use noindex as a precaution.
tl;dr if you have ?ref or ?aff or ?via links coming to your site, just add a canonical URL.
@asciidiego @levelsio @ahrefs I think your site will be a bit worse than PhotoAI in terms of health score, but lots of stuff you can learn from this #SEOROAST (everyone always has the same mistakes)
