5/6 #BOUsci23 #SESH8 No significant differences in average adult local survival between habitats, but average juvenile local survival was lower at the wastewater ponds for both species. This could be due to mortality or emigration to other habitats.

4/6 #BOUsci23 #SESH8 #avianinfluenza antibodies were more frequent in wastewater birds, which was expected. Surprisingly, active infections were higher in birds in the natural wetland. Why this was the case, we are not yet sure.

3/6 #BOUsci23 #SESH8 Birds inhabiting wastewater ponds had higher total PFASs and Hg than birds in natural wetlands, which had higher Se and Co. No other differences were found in pollutants or oxidative stress biomarkers, and concentrations were generally low.
