@jesusfroman As part of the hedging strategy of Indonesia & Singapore (who jointly control 3 maritime chokepoints), the TNI & SAF are moving beyond ASEAN (& ADMM) solidarity alone by joining US led & locally hosted multilateral exercises (eg. #RIMPAC, Ex Kakadu 2024, & #SGS24).

4. Malaysia, Indonesia & Singapore have slightly different strategies to manage the SCS disputes arising in the EEZs. The TNI-SAF are executing a hedge at #SGS24 by training with rotational U.S. forces that @INDOPACOM supports.

Today, we joined the commissioning ceremony of the transfer of the second Fearless-class Patrol Vessel (KDB AL-FARUQ) from the Republicof Singapore Navy to the Royal Brunei Navy. This transfer reflects the strong defence cooperation between our countries.
