Another Drink and Drive Case: Questions Raised on Police Patrolling Vadodara, the so-called ‘Sanskar Nagari’, is witnessing a sharp rise in drink and drive cases, raising serious concerns about law enforcement. In a recent late-night incident in the Alkapuri area, a heavily drunk driver recklessly drove his car, ramming into several vehicles. Shockingly, the driver was so intoxicated he couldn’t even stand properly. Alert citizens chased him down and stopped the vehicle before calling the police. Akota police arrived at the scene and detained the driver. With such cases happening repeatedly, questions are now being raised about the effectiveness of police patrolling and vehicle checks in the city. વધુ એક ડ્રિંક એન્ડ ડ્રાઈવ કેસ : પોલીસ પેટ્રોલિંગ પર ઉઠયા સવાલ સંસ્કારી નગરી વડોદરા માં છેલ્લા કેટલાય સમય થી ડ્રિંક એન્ડ ડ્રાઇવ ના કેસ વધી રહ્યા છે. જાણે કાયદાનો કોઈને ડર જ ન રહ્યો હોય તેમ બિન્દાસ નશેબાજો કાર હંકારી પોતાની સાથે અન્ય વાહનચાલકો ના જીવ જોખમ માં મુકતા હોય છે. ત્યારે વધુ એક બનાવ મોડી રાત્રે અલકાપુરી વિસ્તારમાં નોંધાયો છે. એક કાર ચાલકે ચિક્કાર નશા ની હાલત માં ગાડી ગફલત ભરી ચલાવી અનેક ગાડીઓને અડફેટમાં લીધા હતા. ત્યારે કેટલાક વાહનચાલકો એ તેણી પાછળ ગાડી દોડાવી તેને રોક્યો હતો. આપ વિડીયો માં જોઈ શકો છો. કારચાલક એટલો બધો નશામાં છે કે તે ઊભા રહેવાની સ્થિતિ માં પણ નથી. ત્યારે નાગરિકો એ 100 નંબર ડાયલ કરી પોલીસ ને જણાવતા અકોટા પોલીસે સ્થળ પર પહોંચી નશામાં ધૂત કાર ચાલક ની અટકાયત કરી હતી. મહત્વનું છે કે શહેરમાં આવા અનેકો બનાવને પગલે પોલીસ પેટ્રોલિંગ અને વાહન ચેકિંગ પર સવાલ ઉઠવા પામ્યા છે.
