In the research project #SLUDGEFFECT we are investigating how thermal treatments, like pyrolysis, get rid of #PFAS and other hazardous substances in #sludge and #ewaste yet could recycle as much of the sludge as possible.

I love #recycling but we need better sorting and pyrolysis technologies to deal with the hazardous substances, like lead, BFR and phthalates in #PVC. Otherwise this could lead to increased #exposure. This needs research. Until then, vote no. #sludgeffect
