There is urgent need to visit #FSARS/#SSARS detention formation to confirm the situation of people in their detention. Am sure their will be heartbreaking revelation of how wicked these people are. #EndSarsNow,#mrmacaroni,#nigeriapolice,#segalink.

The 4 week radio course, with help from CVARS, ended yesterday. Congratulations to the 13 new hams on Salt Spring Island, with most obtaining Basic with Honours. That is a testament to how hard they worked! A few more will be writing at a later date. #AmateurRadio #SSARS #EmComms

SSARS had a very successful BBQ at the Rod & Gun club on Sept 7, attended by about 40 people. Two QRP stations were set up and we successfully checked into the 40M Noon Time Net both on CW & on voice. SAR & the EOC also had a presence. #SSARS #SAR #EOC #EmComms #SaltSpringIsland

Listening on the usual frequencies! Radios aren’t too useful if not turned on. If you aren’t using the radios for something else, just monitor the frequencies commonly used in your area. #VE7RSI #VE7RGP #VE7EMG #146dot595MHz #3729kHz #GMRS15 #SSARS #AmateurRadio #EmmComms

The Salt Spring Amateur Radio Society held their Christmas luncheon at the Golden Island Chinese Restaurant on Dec 14. The food was great and there was a good turnout. #SSARS #SaltSpringIsland #AmateurRadio #Christmas https://t.co/JTbd8GXHZU

ARN (Amateur Radio Newsline) recently heard about the logo that we are developing, probably on Twitter. They tracked down Bob VA7MOF recently (our president) and did an interview with him. https://t.co/SOoowvLaf8 #ARN #SSARS #HamRadio @ArNewsline

SSARS was pleased to be able to assist Salt Spring SAR with communications at a multi-agency HAZMAT exercise. Between the responders & the volunteers, there must have been close to 100 people involved. #SaltSpringIsland #SSARS #SSISAR #HAZMAT #SAREX
