LHC = Left Heart Catheterisation = diagnostic angiogram
PCI = percutaneous coronary intervention = angioplasty (treating blocked arteries)

I think cutting placement hours from 2300 to 1800 would work providing that RNs have their workloads adjusted as supporting #stns and providing them with learning opportunities takes more time!

3) I strongly believe in quality over quantity. #StNs could log 2300hrs that haven't fully equipped them with the skills needed to start as an NQN or supported them to feel confident. Is it just being seen as a check box target? Surely a tailored approach to hours is better?
2) We pride ourselves on patient-centered care & believe that no 2 people have identical needs. Is this not also true for staff (& #StNs) & their development? Some may need >2300hrs to feel confident, others may need less due to prior experience - should it be a blanket target?
