Vermijd deze ETF: IWDA. Wie wilt beleggen in de MSCI World index, is beter af met een ETF zoals SWRD in plaats van IWDA. Beide ETF's genieten van de laagste beurstaks of TOB (0,12%), zijn accumulerend, gedomicilieerd in Ierland, enz. Het belangrijkste verschil tussen de twee zit hem in de lopende kosten of 'TER': 0,20% bij IWDA versus 0,12% bij SWRD. Akkoord, klein verschil. Zoals beloofd geef ik ook graag nog even mee wanneer je wel voor een ETF zoals IWDA kunt kiezen in plaats van SWRD: als je elke maand een klein bedrag belegt via de broker DEGIRO, bijv. €100/maand. Op korte termijn ben je dan beter af met IWDA omdat IWDA in de kernselectie van DEGIRO zit, en SWRD niet. Bij ETF's die tot de kernselectie behoren betaal je maar €1 aan transactiekosten (zoals bij IWDA) in plaats van €3 (zoals bij SWRD). Op lange termijn is het natuurlijk belangrijker om lage lopende kosten (TER) te betalen in plaats van te kunnen genieten van iets lagere transactiekosten. Zie pg. 145 van mijn boek (link in bio) voor een overzicht van de transactiekosten bij alle brokers.
