The #BombadilOption. A number of people seem to think they've taken up the #GandalfOption and even the #AslanOption when they've actually succumbed to the #GollumOption (or the #SarumanOption). Even Gandalf deferred to Bombadil in the end. Look it up.

I’m just almost done with using the word “biblical” as a way of privileging one form of human expression over another. I suppose it isn’t *always* a bully, bigot move, but….lives are at stake. People are way too hung up on "culture." We should appreciate cultures, but not obsess about them.
Assimilation is not a bad thing. Appropriation is not a bad thing. Mixing is not a bad thing. Change is not a bad thing. Cultures aren't immutable or permanent and that's fine.
