Oh, how I love this snobbish, academic paternalism. People aren’t idiots. Many understand perfectly well what they’re interacting with. And those who don’t - they need information and education, not a ban on access. «Regulating AI» is trendy right now, it’s clickbaity, it sells subscriptions and courses. But real problems in therapy? Pff…who cares? That would require actually dealing with issues, talking about the shortage of doctors, stigma, medication, and the fact that it costs a fair amount of money. That’s hard and not hype-worthy. It’s much easier to put on the white coat of «ethics», shit on something that genuinely gives huge numbers of people support, call it a «pathology» and then tack on at the end: «And to find out how else we’re all going to die, read my exclusive blog via the link» 👍
