Fascinating article. Obviously I'm biased - I believe the best way to #SaveLocalJournalism (even in the UK) is with hyperlocal titles that are part of their communities. But they rely on communities buying them, advertising in them and supporting advertisers in them.
That’s a national crisis that one in four American newspapers has shuttered so quickly. Among the final issues #StormLakePBS showed piling up was The Gazette in Maryland, where I was a reporter. Watching one final front page after another was heart-wrenching. #SaveLocalJournalism
