🧸 As promised at a recent #SaveOurStanleys meeting, I have written the below letters to the Chairs of the Education and HCLG Committees, along with my colleague @KateOsborneMP, asking them to scrutinise the decision. I've also submitted a series of questions to the Council. 🐻

At 5.30pm, after the decision had been made, I eventually received a response from Cllr Mackings to my letter sent to him on the 17/09/2026. His justification is deeply flawed, ignores campaigners’ evidence and fails to make the case for closure. 🧸#SaveOurSTANLEYs

I have sent the below letter to South Tyneside Council Cabinet members this afternoon, urging them to reject any move that will result in the closure of STANLEYs nurseries. 🧸 STANLEYs provide a critical service for local families which must be preserved. #SaveourSTANLEYs

I recently convened and attended a meeting between members of the #SaveOurStanleys campaign and the Minister for Early Education. The Minister has written the below letter to South Tyneside Council, urging them to safeguard the long-term future of our Stanley's nurseries. 🧸
